“I draw the camera, in an unknown city, in front of a shadow, in front of a detail. But when I draw the camera in front of her, my heart beats a little faster. Everything disappears around us, I can’t stop triggering, I forget to breathe, one step forward, 3cm to the left, lower, lower, further, closer. And there is this moment of grace, where the lights caress her curves, the shadows reveal the invisible that I’ve been chasing.
The colors unveil the four seasons. Everything comes back to me. The fruity perfumes of spring sneaking under my curtains, the summer dampness dancing in her hair, the Indian summer arriving in October and outlining her profile, that almost tensed air of November sticking to her skin. I say to myself “she’s so beautiful”, and I draw my camera again.”
